Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Jonah received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) from Curtin University. He also trained in London at St Oswald's School of Painting. The rigorous three year course predominately focused on figurative training and also involved meditative practice.

From 2000 to 2001 Jonah worked full time on the Waterperry House Fresco Project in Oxford, UK. Involving painters & sculptors, the project is one of the largest series of fresco paintings to be completed in the UK and is based on idea, myths and practices drawn from Advaita Vedanta.
In 2002 Jonah took up a scholarship to the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney, awarded through the Mosman Youth Art Prize, and also received the Brett Whiteley Scholarship to Julian Ashton's in 2003. In 2004 he completed a Masters of Studio Arts at Sydney College of the Arts with distinction, under the supervision of Dr Lindy Lee.

Jonah has exhibited extensively in Perth, Sydney, Oxford & London, including; Art in Action, a UK International Art Festival (2000 & 2003), the Melbourne & Sydney Affordable Art Fairs, Firstdraft and Trevor Victor Harvey Gallery, Sydney and Metro5 in Melbourne.
Jonah was Head of Painting at the Art Academy in London from 2005 to 2007 and taught at St Oswalds School of Painting where he originally trained. Jonah recently returned to Perth to take up the position of Business Manager at Integral Development, a boutique management consultancy, specialising in leadership development, ethical leadership and sustainability.

His first solo show - Sex Bombs & Bliss - was held in 2008 at emerge ART SPACE in Perth. The show explored the classic themes of death, beauty and transcendence.
